A few years back I chose to cover an event during the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival. One of the important choices for coverage that night, was this event had Steve Nash in attendance. He was gracious with his time, and seemed to introduce himself to most of the media that night - a kind and thoughtful gesture. 

He announced his retirement from basketball this past weekend after an incredible 19 year career in the NBA. He was an 8 time All Star, 2 time league MVP and holds the best free throw percentage in NBA history.
